On May 8, our school commemorated World Red Cross Day, a significant occasion that honours the humanitarian legacy of Sir Henry Dunant, the founder of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. This day also marks the birth anniversary of Sir Dunant, who was born on May 8, 1828, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Class wise Activities:
- Nursery and KG: Students, dressed as doctors and nurses, engaged in role-play to understand the importance of medical professionals in our daily life.
- KG: Children participated in a thumb impression activity, symbolizing their commitment to the Red Cross's humanitarian principles.
- Class I: Students crafted headbands, fostering creativity while learning about the Red Cross's emblem.
- Class II: Children created posters highlighting the significance of World Red Cross Day, promoting awareness among peers.
- Classes III to V: Children engaged in badge-making activities, allowing them to express their understanding of the Red Cross's mission.
- Classes VI to VIII: Teachers delivered presentations on the history and significance of World Red Cross Day, educating students about the organization's global impact.

The Managing Director of our school addressed the students, sharing insights into the life and contributions of Sir Henry Dunant. He highlighted Dunant's pivotal role in founding the Red Cross and his enduring legacy in promoting humanitarian aid worldwide.
